I know that this blog post is waaaayyyyy overdue. Don’t blame me, blame Human for being a waaaayyyyy slow ghost blogger. Shame on her, right? 🙂
Anyway, as planned Human came home from work right on time that day. She got everything ready for my birthday: my birthday present (of course!), lots lots of food (the more the better!), my birthday cake (what’s a birthday without it?) and my birthday candle.
Wait …
Birthday candles?
Yes, lots of birthday candles in various colors!!!
If you are wondering why I looked so squeamish on my header photo above it was because I was very squeamish about my birthday candles. Well, I didn’t know that Human would actually light one of those candles and I was supposed to make a wish and blow the candle, did I? It was my very first birthday after all.
The thing was, none of us knew why I was afraid of birthday candles – or candles – or lights in general for that matter. My very first birthday was also the day Human and I found out that I was afraid of my birthday candles.
So, when Human said,”My dear boy, it is time for you to make a wish and blow your birthday candle”
And ….
I was gone. No way, I was going to stay near my own birthday candle, let alone make a wish and blow it out. It scared the crap out of me. Seriously!
And then, I heard Human said,”Well, okay, make a wish from wherever you are (I was hiding somewhere in the house) and let me blow the candle for you, okay?!”
And I was like,”I wish that my birthday candle was gone!”.
Fortunately, Human blew the candle out for me and she let me enjoy my birthday cake by the time I got back from hiding. My birthday cake was so very yummy! Thank you, Human!
Now, lets talk about my birthday present. Human got me a huge, sky high cat scratching post and a bright colored tent. I love them both!
This is my brand new scratching post 🙂
And this is my brand new tent 🙂
All in all, I love my very first birthday party, my birthday cake and my present very much. I wish that every day were my birthday – without birthday candles on top of it, to be precise 🙂
Check out my birthday video below and have a great, happy birthday yourself!
